Artist Bio

Hi, I'm Lexi, a painter, writer, and illustrator! I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (go Steelers). I recently graduated with a Studio Art BA from Denison University with minors in creative writing and communications. I'm so excited to be currently pursuing my MFA in Children's Book Writing and Illustration at Hollins University. As an artist, I have some serious passion for drawing, acrylic painting, design, digital art, ceramics and photography. My visual aesthetic surrounds ideas about femininity and what we define as beauty in a patriarchal society. I am also interested in screen and lino cut printing and sculpture. My artwork is constantly intertwined with my interest in literature, feminism, communication research and social justice. Check it out! :D
