Artist Bio

     Hi, I'm Lexi, a painter, writer, and illustrator! I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (go Steelers) and am currently based in Boston. I graduated from Denison University with a BA in Studio Art and minors in creative writing and communications. I'm so excited to be currently pursuing my MFA in Children's Book Writing and Illustration at Hollins University.  In Boston, I work as a bookseller at Beacon Hill Books and Cafe, where I run Squirrel Tales, a free weekly story time. I also teach ceramics to kids and teens at the New Art Center in Newtonville.

     As an artist, I have some serious passion for drawing, acrylic painting, design, digital art, ceramics and photography. My artwork is constantly intertwined with my interest in literature, feminism, communication research and social justice. I am currently open to work and am focused on pursuing illustrating and writing children's books. Check it out! :D
