Ceramics

My ceramic work is reflective of an interest in the idea of the distortion of what is functional and expected. I enjoy the meditative and unpredictable nature of wheel throwing and see it as a way to step back and view my creative process in a more direct and physical manner. When my focus on two dimensional imagery becomes overly conceptual I turn to clay as a mode of investigating process. I am currently a ceramics instructor for teens at The New Art Center in Newtonville, MA.
